What might we see and hear? This is a family program and the fee applies to all participants ages 2 and older. Register for Family Fun(gi) in the Wetland Family Naturalists: Nocturnal Nature and Night Hike at Walnut Creek Wetland ParkĪs you are getting sleepy and letting go a of a yawn, many of the wetland's inhabitants are stretching and getting ready for their 'day.' We'll look at which animals are active in the wetland and go for a night hike. Come dressed to spend time outdoors in the woods! Then, we will spend the second half of the day testing our identification skills out in the field. Join us as we learn about the fabulous world of fungi! We will begin with a classroom portion all about the anatomy of fungi, their importance in the ecosystem, and some common species that can be found around Walnut Creek. Wear your costumes and smiling faces! This event is free and open to the public. Come for one day or both! Fall in love with John Chavis Memorial Park fall festivities. Join us for festive fall fun! Come if you dare for two days filled with treats, arts & crafts, music, food trucks, games, vendors, and more. Register for Pumpkin Painting Fall Festival at John Chavis Memorial Park All individuals over the age of 5 are required to wear a mask indoors. In the event of inclement weather, it will move indoors. Come for the crafty fun, and let us clean up the mess! This is an outdoor event.

Pumpkinvine Creek Nature Park is an amazing 100 acres natural park where close to six miles of natural surface trails for hiking, trail running and mountain biking are under construction We will be doing finishing work on the new tread to get the trail open.
